Kaitlyn J. Smith is a litigation paralegal with the Medical Malpractice & Hospital Liability Defense and Professional Malpractice & Liability Defense practice groups. Ms. Smith has extensive experience working closely with the firm’s malpractice team from the initial preparation to the conclusion of each case. Case work includes preparing legal pleadings and documents, transcript and record summaries and medical chronologies. She is involved with discovery and record reviews, as well as preparation and scheduling of depositions, hearings, and trials. Her research includes investigating discovery and evidence and case research.
Ms. Smith graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology. Prior to joining Neubert, Pepe & Monteith in 2011, she worked in the not-for-profit and government fields. Ms. Smith is active in her community and enjoys volunteering with and fundraising for the ASPCA, Friends of New Haven Animal Shelter, Life Haven Women’s Shelter, Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society.
