Attorney Monteith Neubert, also known as Attorney Monteith, graduated with honors from Williams College in 1977 and received her law degree in 1980 from the University of Connecticut School of Law.  She founded Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C. in 1993, after practicing at Updike, Kelly & Spellacy for 13 years.  Attorney Monteith practices in the areas of design and construction law and employment law.  She represents design professionals, owners and contractors during all phases of planning, development, design and construction, including drafting and negotiating development contracts, professional design contracts and construction contracts. She also represents clients in dispute resolution during construction, mediation, arbitration and litigation. She has also worked as an arbitrator and as a mediator.  She is the co-author of two professional practice publications for design professionals, and has given numerous seminars in this area. 

In the employment law area, she works primarily as a consultant in the human resources area, including handbook drafting, day to day human resource problems, conducting employment negotiations and drafting employment agreements and severance agreements, and consulting on FMLA, disability and discrimination law, wages and hours law and other statutory compliance issues. She has practiced before state and federal administrative agencies and courts in this area, and is on the roster as a Hearing Officer for National Arbitration and Mediation. 

Attorney Monteith is a member of the Construction Law Sections of the Connecticut and American Bar Associations, and of the Labor and Employment Section of the Connecticut Bar Association.  She is also a member of the New Haven County Bar Association.
