Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C., is a general practice firm with offices in New Haven and Southport, Connecticut formed in New Haven in 1993 by three former principals of a large law firm based in Hartford and New Haven. Our areas of practice are diverse. We presently have twenty six full-time attorneys. Neubert, Pepe & Monteith has substantial experience in the areas of Bankruptcy & Creditor Rights, Commercial Finance & Banking, Construction Law, Corporate & Business, Employment Law & Pension Law, Healthcare Law, Hospital & Medical Liability Defense, Litigation & Appeals, Professional Malpractice & Liability Defense, Real Estate, and Trusts & Estates. Our clients include financial institutions, large publicly-held corporations, medium- and small-sized businesses, hospitals, municipalities, insurance companies, universities, private not-for-profit organizations, and professionals such as physicians, lawyers, architects, engineers, and real estate agents. In 1996, we opened a Southport, Connecticut office to provide better access to our New York and Fairfield County clients. We have video conferencing and a state-of-the-art computer network, designed to maximize the firm's efficiency and effectiveness. We also maintain a complete state and federal law library, and a brief and expert-witness bank. The firm is an on-line subscriber to LexisNexis, Westlaw, MedLine, CCH and Web Pacer. Our Mission At Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, we know that the law is not static; there is constant change, as new opportunities and challenges enter the legal arena. Our attorneys are frequent lecturers on their practice areas and we encourage all of our professionals to remain involved in professional organizations and activities. One of our attorneys is an adjunct health law professor at a local university. Another attorney has been certified in business bankruptcy by the American Board of Certification. Other attorneys have written articles on issues affecting their practice area for legal treatises and journals. We are active in our communities, because we believe involvement and commitment at the local level is an important part of life. Members of our firm serve with pride in leadership positions with many civic, charitable, and community organizations in Connecticut, from the International Festival of Arts and Ideas to Connecticut Hospice, area hospitals, the YMCA, the Long Wharf Theatre and others. Others serve on local government boards and agencies, and one of our of counsel attorneys is a state representative.
