Attorney Eric Stockman recently won a defense verdict in a medical malpractice/wrongful death case on behalf of Stamford Hospital. Plaintiffs claimed that the Hospital and co-defendant Access Ambulance Company failed to adequately assess and restrain a 17 year old young man who leaped from a moving ambulance while being transported to a local psychiatric facility. The jury rendered a complete defense verdict in two hours.

Attorney Eric Stockman recently obtained a complete defense verdict in a binding arbitration of a case against Stamford Hospital. The case had been tried previously but resulted in a hung jury in February 2008. At the arbitration, plaintiff\'s counsel asked for $10 million in damages.Attorney Stockman argued for, and obtained, a complete defense verdict.

Eric Stockman was recently named an associate of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), a national association that promotes ethical and technical standards of practice in the field of trial advocacy. Mr.Stockman was nominated and approved by ABOTA\'s Connecticut chapter and its National Board after meeting ABOTA\'s jury trial requirements.

Attorney Eric Stockman recently obtained a defense verdict on behalf of Stamford Hospital in a high profile medical malpractice/birth defect case, in which the co-defendant obstetrician was found liable for $38.5 million, making it the largest medical malpractice verdict in Connecticut history.
