Regina Duchin Kraus graduated from George Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in speech pathology and audiology and was awarded her Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1991. Ms. Duchin Kraus is experienced in civil litigation, commercial litigation, employment and professional liability defense. Her litigation experience, in state and federal courts, includes the areas of hospital liability defense, insurance coverage, telecommunications, civil rights, commercial matters, probate, personal injury, employment matters and professional liability defense for physicians, dentists, attorneys, real estate agents, insurance agents and insurance adjusters. Ms. Duchin Kraus was admitted to the State of Connecticut Bar in June, 1991, the United States District Court of Connecticut in September 1991, and the Supreme Court of the United States in March 2002. Ms. Duchin Kraus has served as adjunct professor of negotiations, client advocacy and client interviewing at the University of Connecticut School of Law. She is a member of the American Bar Association and is a member of its Expert Witness Committee. Ms. Duchin Kraus is also a member of the Executive Committee of the Litigation Section of the Connecticut Bar Association as well as a member of the Standing Committee on Professionalism, the Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association, and the New Haven County Bar Association. Her Civic associations include the VNA Health Resources, Inc., where she serves on the board of directors. She served on the Board of Directors for VNA Health Care, Inc. from 1992 - 2005 and was chair person of its personnel committee. Ms. Duchin Kraus was appointed a member of the Judicial Review Council from March 2001 to October 2005. She is fluent in Italian.
