Attorney Neubert graduated from the University of Notre Dame with honors in 1974 and obtained a law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1978. He was a principal at the law firm of Updike, Kelly & Spellacy, P.C. from 1987 and was the managing principal in their New Haven office from 1991 through 1993. He is a founding partner of Neubert, Pepe & Monteith, P.C., formed in 1993. Attorney Neubert has served as managing partner and head of its litigation department. Attorney Neubert has extensive experience in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, professional liability defense (including representing physicians, lawyers and real estate agents) hospital liability law, representing physicians in professional licensing disputes, product liability, administrative law, premise liability, municipal liability, and employment litigation. His clients include numerous hospitals, physicians, attorneys law firms, professional associations, major insurance companies, corporations, and municipalities. Attorney Neubert has over a 90% success rate trying numerous jury and court trials in state and federal court, and has won appeals before the Connecticut Supreme Court and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Representative appellate decisions include LeConche, et al. vs. Elligers, 215 Conn. 701 (1990) (addressing the Certificate of Good Faith requirement in medical malpractice actions pursuant to Connecticut General Statue Section 52-190a); Pool vs. Bell, 209 Conn. 536 (1989) (overturning a plaintiff's verdict in a medical malpractice action); Cavallaro vs. Hospital of Saint Raphael, 92 Conn. App. 59 (2005) (upholding trial court's granting of a Motion for Summary Judgment in a medical malpractice action); Ordon vs. Karpie, U.S. Court of Appeals, 2nd Circuit (April 10, 2008) (upholding trial court's decision granting a Motion for Summary Judgment in a legal malpractice case).

Attorney Neubert is admitted to practice in Connecticut (1978), Massachusetts (1987) and California (1987). He is also admitted to practice in the Federal District Court in Connecticut (1984), Northern District of California (1987) and Massachusetts (1987). Attorney Neubert was admitted to practice before the United States 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals in 1992.

Attorney Neubert is a member of the American Board of Trial Attorneys (ABOTA), American Health Lawyers Association, Connecticut Society for Healthcare Risk Management, Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association, Connecticut and New Haven Bar Associations and the former vice chairman of the Medical-Legal Committee of the CBA. Attorney Neubert is a frequent speaker at seminars on trial practice, professional liability and health care risk management. In addition, he has served as a member of the Board of Trustees of St. Regis Health Care Center, a subsidiary of the St. Raphael Health Care System, and chairman of the Financial Committee of St. Regis Health Care Center. Mr. Neubert was named Super Lawyer  in Connecticut Magazine in 2007 and 2008, and New England Super Lawyers edition for 2007 and 2008.
